What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers are injectable gels used to restore and add volume to your face. 

I use the Juvederm VYCROSS range of fillers. They are soft fillers which contain Hyaluronic Acid, a sugar molecule that exists naturally in the human skin. The fillers will help to enhance and define your features giving long lasting, natural results.

How long will they last?

This varies depending on a number of factors. The product used, the area treated, patients age, quantity used and lifestyle.

Most of the Juvederm products can last up to 18 months, however in some areas such as the lips it is shorter.

What are the side effects?

In general, dermal fillers are considered very safe. The most common reactions are redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness. These are typically mild and resolve within one week. Other side effects are rare.
